Snow!

This is what it has looked like all day here today! We got tons of snow and the roads are a mess. This is even a lot of snow for Provo. It goes up to my knees.
Leata is even stuck at my mom's house because she spent the night last night and they live up in the benches so they have even more snow then us! Our van would be sad trying to get up the hill.

Leata loves playing in the snow though!A.J. taught her to make snow angels! And foot prints, and butt prints... Silly daddy! The butt prints were my three year old's favorite though...of course.

Taylor did not enjoy the snow as much but she did have fun for a little while. Leata would stay out all day if we let her though!

Visiting Santa!

We went to see Santa on Saturday. It was a fun outing. First we went to Tucanos, with my family, for Kendall's birthday. Then all of us piled in to see the real Santa! (Or shall I say that 7 adults took 2 little girls to see Santa.) We love this Santa. Leata has been to see him 4 years in a row now.

First Santa wanted to have grumps (what the girls call my dad) come and see him.

Then Taylor was going to see him on her own but she was scared so Kendall and Leata joined her.
Then we tried just setting Taylor on Santa's lap with Leata still there. She didn't like that much though!
Then Leata sat on Santa's lap and told him that she wanted a Princess Tea Set.

Then Santa insisted we all get in the picture!

It was a lot of fun and Leata loved going to see Santa. The girls each got a toy penguin as well!

Leata and Her Baby Dolls...

Leata loves her baby dolls. For some reason they are rarely dressed though. She carries them around in the nude! She will bring them to me and tell me that they need their "Grandma" right now. Sometimes Auntie Taylor takes care of them. Of course, A.J., is the daddy. Sometimes he is grandpa, but most of the time he is daddy.
She feeds and bathes and comforts her dolls. She puts them to bed and I can see a lot of what I do with the girls in the way she takes care of her dolls.
Now Leata wants to get Christmas presents for her dolls. She also tells us what the dolls want to eat, what they want to do, what they want to watch on TV, where they want to go, etc. Most of the time, we know exactly what Leata wants by what she tells us the dolls want. Although many times she tries to deny it.
She is such a caring loving little girl and such a great big sister! She is excited to have another sister or a brother. She insists that this baby is a boy though. She's already such a good helper and I know she will continue to be a bigger help as she gets older.
She even tells the nursery leaders when somebody in nursery is "Stinky". LOL
She is so ready for Sunbeams!

Doctor's Appointment

I went for a doctor's appointment today about my pregnancy. I am ten weeks pregnant now. The doctor said that at ten weeks it is kind of iffy if you can hear the heartbeat with a doppler or not. He told me we would listen but not to get my hopes up and not to worry if we didn't hear the heart beat this time. It took a minute but then we heard our baby's heart beating away, strong and healthy! It was very exciting and this is starting to feel real now!

Kendall's Wedding

Kendall was married to Casey Harris on November 7. The wedding was great and we all had lots of fun at the reception.
Adrienne and her family came for Kendall's wedding and we all had a great time. On November 10 we had an early Thanksgiving (or ThanksforAdrienne Day) with all o our family. There are 15 of us now with spouses and children. We had a full Thanksgiving meal and enjoyed each others company.
Leata and Taylor absolutely loved playing with their cousins who came to see them from England. Leata and Liam were best pals and never left each others side while at the wedding and reception. They even hid in my mom's house for a while, while we all ran around going crazy looking for them because we thought maybe they got out of the house.

The Bean Museum and The Creamery

Yesterday, A.J., Sheridan and I took, Jared, Leata, Liam and Taylor to the Bean Museum at BYU. It's a lot of fun and they even have a room where the kids can play. Best of all it's free!

We saw a Liger and a Tiger!
Leata and Liam loved walking around together!

Afterward, we went to the creamery for dinner. Yummy!

Halloween

Halloween was great! We took Leata and Taylor trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood with their cousins, Jared, Liam and Jadon, who are visiting from England. We had six adults out with the 5 little trick or treaters!

Jadon (6months)- Was a cute little monster. He slept a good part for the time and didn't go to many doors.

Taylor (16 months) was a pink kitty cat! She loved trick or treating the most! She would grab at the candy and actually got more then her sister!

Liam (2 almost 3) was Buzz Lightyear! He was such a cute Buzz! He was really scared of one house. Poor little guy.

Leata (3) was none other than Cinderella herself! She would not respond if you called her anything but Cinderella.

Jared (5) was, well, he called himself fire man but there is a real name for his character. I am just not sure of it right now. Fire Man can't get wet!

Lots of stuff...

Taylor has tooth #8 now too. She's not been too happy about it but seems to be doing better. It didn't help that she has been sick as well as teething.

Leata and I were watching Winnie the Pooh today and Leata said "Elephants can't talk Mama! That's silly." She's too young to be figuring stuff like that out!
She just told me that she is going to pretend to be an ice cream truck!

We went to Boo at the Zoo on Saturday. It was CRAZY! We had fun but it sure wore us all out! A.J.'s parents came with us and the girls loved spending the day with them! They went trick or treating (just a little though, Leata got bored really fast) looked at some animals and went on the train and carousel.

Adrienne and Sheridan and boys get here late Wednesday night. We are so excited to see them!

Kendall is getting married in 11 days. It's coming up fast. We are all so happy for Kendall and Casey!

Taylor's 7th tooth!

Taylor just got her 7th tooth. She's a little slow getting them in. That's ok though. She can eat just as well as anyone else and eats nonstop any time she is awake! You wouldn't believe that my 16 pound, 15 month old, eats all the time, but she does. She eat more then Leata most of the time!

This tooth is a molar. Never mind that she does not have all 8 of her front teeth... Her smile is so cute though!

Tooth #7

Taylor just had her 7th tooth pop through. She is 15.5 months so they are coming in slowly but she can still eat as well as anyone! This one is a molar. They are coming in, in a really funny order and her smile is so cute!

Halloween

So, it's 145 am and I cannot sleep so here I am.
On Saturday, we are going to Boo at the Zoo with the girls. We went last year and Leata had so much fun! This year there is the carousel at the Zoo so there will be one more fun thing to do! They will get to go trick or treating and on the train as well.
Leata is going to be Cinderella for Halloween. She is so excited! She wants to be Cinderella with pink hair... Thanks to Crystal for all the work she put in to making the dress for Leata.
Taylor has a couple of options for costumes and we have three different times to dress up so, she will be a ladybug and a pink and white cat. I am not sure which costume we will use for each event yet. She really isn't old enough to care yet. Next year will be a different story though. Does anyone think that she will want to be a duck like Leata was when she was two? Leata would settle for nothing else!
We have Halloween carnival for church on the 29th and then we will be trick or treating on the 31st. Leata is so excited to go trick or treating with her cousins Jared and Liam.

Just a week after Halloween, Kendall and Casey are getting married! It's going to be a craz few weeks but we will have lots of fun pictures to share soon!

We have Heparin!

The nice Walgreen's pharmacist found us Heparin. It is a different strength but that only means that I have to take less in each shot. They have 2 months reserved for me right now and they say they will have more by the time I need more.

Heparin

Heparin is a blood thinner. I need to take it when I am pregnant so that I do not miscarry. When I finally convinced my doctor to talk to the high risk doctor about getting it, I finally got my prescription. Just getting him to write the prescription was a stressful thing!
I went to my regular pharmacy to get the heparin. They did not have. I thought that was a little strange since I had been able to get it there in the past but I figured they just ran out. So we checked another pharmacy. They didn't have it either. We checked another and they called around to find a pharmacy that had 5 days worth of Heparin.
So, we go and get the Heparin and they say they should have more by the time that I need it. Well, I need more today and they cannot get anymore. They have 2 more days worth but then that's it. We have already paid for it and so has the insurance.
We called the hospital pharmacy thinking they would probably have it. No luck. They don't have it! Now we have it figure out what we are going to do.

Leata's Sick

Leata spent the night at Grandma's house last night. My mom calls this morning to tell me that Leata woke up at 2 am throwing up. She didn't call and tell me because she didn't want to wake me up. Ha ha. I didn't get a wink of sleep last night! Leata wants to come home and be with me so my mom is bringing her here a little later. A.J. is working from home today though so I will have his help, which is great, because I am exhausted!

Adrienne and Family!

Adrienne, Sheridan, Jared, Liam and Jadon will be here, from England, in just 9 days! They are coming to visit for Kendall's wedding.
It has been a year and a half since we have seen them! They have yet to have the chance to meet my sweet monster Taylor. I am so excited that I will be meeting their baby, Jadon, who is nearly 7 months old!
We are all so excited to see all of them! Leata cannot wait to see her cousins from England. They will get to go trick-or-treating together on Halloween and Leata thinks that this is so cool! I am sure we will have busy days while they are here and it is going to be so fun!
We are also very excited for Kendall and Casey's wedding! What a great reason for our whole family to be together again.

Insomnia

It's almost 3 am and I cannot sleep. Unfortunately, for me, insomnia is one of my pregnancy symptoms in the first couple of months. It's a good thing that Leata and Taylor both nap for a couple of hours at the same time nearly everyday or I would never get any sleep.

About Us

Ok, so I have had this blog for a while but I have never posted. I guess now is a good time to start!

A.J. and I have been married for 8 years. We were married in the London Temple on May 20, 2000.
Five years Leata came into our family on June 1, 2005. She is three now and so much fun! Most people think she is about 5 since she speaks so well and is on the tall side now.
A little over 2 years later Taylor was born. July6, 2007, seven weeks before she was supposed to be born, Taylor came into our family. At four and a half pounds she was a strong baby who only had to stay in the hospital to eat and grow. She is trouble! She climbs things and gets into the trash if we are not careful. She thinks that cat food is a wonderful thing... She keeps me on my toes.

We just found out we are expecting our third baby in June 2009. This is exactly 4 years after Leata's due date. We are excited and hope that everything is easier this time around.
