First Field Trip

At the end of October, Leata went on her first field trip. I was able to go with her and it was lots of fun. It wasn't really a surprise to me that I was given the most difficult kid in the class in my group (and no I am not talking about Leata ;) ). Leata's teacher decided the me and the other mom who was in my group could handle this little boy. He was sweet but he was everywhere and wandered off a lot.
We went to a family farm down in Santaquin to go to the pumpkin patch. The hay ride out was long and lots of fun but it was COLD. It was snowing the night before!

Once we got to the pumpkin patch there was a hay maze. The kids wanted to do that before picking their pumpkins. They thought it was a lot of fun. So fun in fact that the little boys kept running in and we had a hard time getting the four kids in our group back together. The two little girls wanted to run off but they listened to their mother's because we were the group leaders. We finally got the kids rounded up and went looking for pumpkins. They took their time but each found a pumpkin they loved.
This is Leata's.
After everyone had done the activities all four kindergarten classed loaded up on the hay ride again and we headed back to the barn where the farm store. When we got there the kids all used hand sanitizer and they brought out fresh, warm, homemade apple cider doughnuts. They were SO yummy! The kids all had a great time and Leata has the most amazing teacher! We all piled in the other mom's minivan and headed back to the school. The kids were having so much fun on the way back and they were so excited.
Leata's first field trip was a hit! She really loved it and she was even glad I went along! :)
